On April 29, 2006, the Pou Chen twin towers were constructed in Taichung City and one of the buildings is as Group・s new headquarter, locating adjacently to a traffic hub to be more facilitated for the integration of resources. Furthermore, the international lecture hall, on the B1 floor of the headquarter building with 278 seats, is for inviting kinds of performances to be revealed and encouraging community participation in central Taiwan.

2006, Lee Hee Ah, the South Korean Four-fingered Pianist

The 21-year-old Korean girl, whose height is less than 100cm, was born with only two fingers on each hand and no legs beneath the knees, and develops into a remarkable pianist. By the performance, the sponsors of Eden Social Welfare Foundation, Nan Shan Life Charity Foundation and Yue Yuen Educational Foundation collected funds for wheelchairs for children with disabilities.


2007-2008, Taichung Jazz Festivals

Since 2003, Taichung Jazz Festival, a significant international art event in central Taiwan, has been held by Cultural Affairs Bureau of Taichung City. Taichung Jazz Festival regularly takes place on famed JingGuo Parkway and Civilian Plaza through outstanding performances with jazz musicians and bands internationally and locally. Besides open-air performances and street fair, Jazz Masters・ Class and Jazz Workshop are presented on the cooperation of Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Foundation.

2008, WATOTO, the African Children's Choir

WATOTO choir, made of children, sings for bringing hope to those who suffer from HIV/AIDS and war crisis in Africa through international tour. In 2008, WATOTO・s second visit to Taiwan was organized by World Vision Taiwan and the Foundation sponsored 350,000 NTD and the venue.

2008, the Esthetics Lecture Series on Jean-Francois Millet

The first opportunity to borrow the Millet collection from Musee d'Orsay was granted to Taiwan. The widely-known oil paintings with Millet・s most representatives, The Gleaners and The Angelus, were exhibited in National Museum of History, Taipei, Taiwan. In order to have access to the exploration of Millet・s masterpieces, the Foundation invited the deputy director of National Museum of History, Pauline Kao and Professor Kuo Bo-zhou of National Taipei University of Education to lecture on the aesthetics of Millet exclusively for residents in central Taiwan.


2006-2008, the YY Music Competitions

The YY music competition came into being to promote the aesthetic education. In 2006, the 1st competition was positioned for high school and college students・ clarinet and flute competitions. In 2008, the Foundation made the adjustment, for more extensively participating, to be the violin competition for elementary and junior high students. The gratis event was for making children・s dreams come true, and the scholarship and award offering was to be supported. Also, the champions・ united concert was achieved for encouraging the memorable performances. For the Foundation, the favorite view of the competition is to advocate regularly holding competitive activities.
